Sometimes I work conceptually in mixed media, to communicate the endangered aspects of wildlife and the desperate need for preservation.

Using various papers, waterbased paints, gesso, ink, etc. and my own photographs, I incorporate cave art symbolism and images of a prehistoric and current nature in my paintings. Choosing muted earth tones or vibrant primary colors, I manipulate and obliterate and layer the images, papers and paints to create textured surfaces and pieces explicative of my purpose.
