PASTEL PAINTING

Program Description:
Participants will acquire the tools they need to create more compelling, colorful, and personal pastel paintings, no matter what level of experience. After hands on instruction in the fundamentals of this most versatile medium, (blending, mark-making, layering, and creating texture, paper handling and fixing) use of color, value, drawing, composition and more will be explored.
Each day will begin with instruction and a demonstration, and then students will work on their subject of choice and gather for a critique at 3pm. All levels & drop-ins welcome. Please bring pastel painting supplies and still-life objects or photos to work from. Be sure to get the supply list upon registering.
