Coloring Outside the Lines - a Blog -

“Blue Spirit” is part of a new ongoing series of collages with some mixed media, inspired by horses and spiritual beliefs and icons, using cave art and petroglyph images, and mono-types of my handmade horse cut-outs and printing plates.  These collages are created on acid free mat board, using a variety of mediums including acrylic, ink, charcoal, oil pastel, ink, pencil, rag, rice and other papers. It measures 11.5”x8.5”.

More:

Light blue is associated with acceptance and truth. It is the color of spirituality, intuition, inspiration and inner peace. The blue horse is known for its connection to the sky and the heavens. It is believed to be a messenger of the Great Spirit and is associated with wisdom and spiritual guidance. His blue spirit is everywhere horses can be found.
