"Earth Medicine" is part of a new ongoing series of collages with some mixed media, inspired by horses and spiritual beliefs and icons, using cave art and petroglyph images, and mono-types of my handmade horse cut-outs and printing plates.  These collages are created on acid free mat board, using a variety of mediums including acrylic, ink, charcoal, oil pastel, ink, pencil, rag, rice and other papers. It measures 11.5”x8.5”.

MORE:

A medicine man or medicine woman is a traditional (folk) healer and spiritual leader who serves a community of Indigenous people of the Americas. Individual cultures have their own names, in their respective languages, for spiritual healers and ceremonial leaders in their particular cultures, some drawing their energy from the natural world.
